Help Us Fund Our SPF Dry Shampoo That Protects The Scalp From The Sun!

Kia ora! We are ārai a business group participating in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme this year from Wellington East Girls' College. We have found that 13% of all skin cancers are found on the scalp, additionally, 2%-5% of those are melanomas. Therefore we are not only sick but scared of getting sunburnt scalps. Our idea is to create an SPF Dry Shampoo that both conquers oiliness and products against harmful UV rays. Our SPF Dry shampoo will come in a 100ml (travel size) powder spray bottle, with the main ingredients being zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and rice starch additionally for extra benefits probiotics and antioxidants will be included. The powder will be lightweight, this will enable easy and carefree application and contain a certified measure of SPF30+.
The money raised through PledgeMe will go towards the formulation and SPF testing of our product. We have received an initial quote of approximately $5000NZD for the formulation and sampling of our product. Additionally we will have to do multiple rounds of SPF testing in order to meet our claim of being SPF certified. This costs $1,757.37NZD per round of testing.

Thank you so much for the support to our Pledge Me fundraising. Thanks to you we successfully reached our goal and can now afford to start formulating our product in the hope of decreasing sunburn on the scalp.
