The Problem:

Administration costs, security risks, health risks, and of course a reduction of cash in circulation all contribute to not-for-profit organisations missing out on a good portion of money available from donors during street appeals, online campaigns, and with counter top collection boxes.

The solution is Pa1l:

The team at Pa1l want to help fundraisers and not-for-profit organisations rediscover the benefits of the spontaneous donation and give donors control when supporting the causes they care about.

For the donor Pa1l is PayPal meets PayWave meets Give a Little, allowing you to donate to as many organisations as you want without each time running to the ATM or reaching for a credit card.  Using only your phone you can control how much, how often, and how publically you donate to an organisation. 

Simply top up your Pa1l wallet, choose what organisations you want to support and set up either one off or reoccurring payments at the dollar value you are comfortable with.  Reoccurring payments can be re-allocated, adjusted, or cancelled at anytime and all money remaining in the wallet can be withdrawn without any penalty.

When you see an oragisations donation point (street collector, poster, donation box, etc.) simply scan either the NFC tag or QR code to quickly launch a donation to that organisation. Of course we also make handling your tax claims, managing reoccurring donations, sharing campaigns, and learning about how your money is used, easy.  

For organisations it means they will never hear "sorry I don't have any cash" again.

By using NFC and QR technologies collectors will be able to engage with donors carrying only their mobile phone. On top of that the whole process will take only as long as having someone pop their $2 coin in a bucket.

In addition to the obvious benefit; additional income, Pa1l will also reduce administration costs, increase security, and offer access to important data for all fundraisers.

To date the team have completed all design work, wireframes, and system design related to the build of each of the Pa1l sites and apps. We have founders that specialise in the tech, financial and marketing spaces and there is a clear path to market with relationships already in play with some of New Zealand's major charities.

The next step is to complete the build and open up this wondderful technology for all New Zealand frundraisers, clubs, and not-for-profit organisations.

This is where we need your help!

The team have invested heavily into this project, however we require external resources at the cost of $30,000 to complete the project, and sadly our pockets are now empty.  We are currently looking at multiple avenues to generate this income with this campaign being an important part of that process.  The money raised here will play a significiant part in ensuring Pa1ls availiability in both app stores before the end of FY23.
