Pets Of Wolfenoot Page-A-Day Calendar 2022

The Wolfenoot community has people all over the world! And they have all kinds of wonderful pets in their lives - scaly, feathered and furred! This is a chance to get your pet into our 2022 virtual menagerie!
We are creating a page a day calendar populated with YOUR pets! You buy your pet a spot in it, and get a copy once they are printed.
How it works
To be eligible, you must have a good, high resolution photo of the animal in question. It must be YOUR pet (or one you know personally and have permission from its humans to use). You must have taken the photo yourself or have permission from the photographer to use it.
You buy your pet a spot in the calendar. I will then contact you for the photo, your preferred date (more on that in a minute), and a little information about the critter in question (name, species, maybe some interesing facts). Then your pet gets a spot for a day on the desks of Wolfenati the world round! Fame! Fortune! The company of other cute creatures!
Can I be sure to get a particular date?
Well, some dates may be in high demand, so here is how that works. There will be five levels of reward you can purchase at. The higher you pick, the earlier you get to pick your date.
First wave: 10 available. These people get first dibs. I will ask for their dates first, and hand them out on a first come first served basis. This is the best way to be sure you'll get the date you want.
Second wave: 50 available. These people will get the second shot at dates. I'll ask for your top three preferences, and again hand dates out on a first come first served basis.
Third wave. 100 available. This is for people who have a preference but aren't very fussed. Once the first sixty are gone, you're next in line to pick.
Fourth wave. 100 available. These will get to pick after the first 160 have done so.
Fifth wave. 103 available. This is for people who want their critter in the calendar, but don't mind about the date. You will get to choose a preference from the remaining dates.
There are also a couple of one-off high level rewards including:
* Wolfenoot itself! (23rd November)
* Cover model! (Your pet on the cover!)
What if I just want to buy the calendar?
That's totally okay! You can do that here too. It operates as a preorder and I will send it out to you as soon as they are printed.
Where does the money go?
The money will be used for printing and design of the calendar. And then, as with all our merchandise, 50% of the profits from this will go to charity. I will be splitting them between the charities from April-August, which are:
* Michigan Humane
* The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary
* Lightshine Canine
* The August recipient - to be announced.
The rest will go back into Wolfenoot to help us make other wonderful things. :)
I'm in! But I'm not in New Zealand! What is this Pledgeme thing?
Pledgeme is a New Zealand version of Kickstarter. I have worked with them on a number of projects in the past and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. They are always responsive and supportive, and have that excellent Kiwi attitude that we're all in this together. They're amazing.
They're so great, that in their email approving this campaign, they remembered that last time some of my international folks had issues with payments, and asked me to include this:
"People outside NZ are advised to select the credit card payment option. If you don't have a credit card and would like to make a pledge, please send an email to [email protected] and the PledgeMe team will help you out."
So if you run into this problem, drop them a line. :)
Tell me about shipping.
International shipping is a shifting landscape at the moment. Estimated shipping costs for one calendar are:
NZ: NZ$15
Australia: NZ$20
UK: NZ$25
USA: NZ$27
Canada: NZ$25
Other Intl: NZ$30 at most
These are based on rates when I am writing this, and based on one calendar, so there may be some variation, but it should give you an idea of what you need to consider for shipping. NOTE that all prices are in New Zealand dollars, so remember to convert!
What if you don't sell all the pages?
I need $5k to get this printed and off the ground, but if you do the maths, you'll know that's only a part of all the pages. If we don't sell them all in the time this campaign is running, I will auction off the remaining pages in early September. This auction will NOT include a copy of the calendar, but will be a blind auction run a week at a time until all the pages are gone.

Hello my loves,
So we did not hit our target on this project, which tells me that, alas, there is not enough market for it. This one will have to go back on the shelf and we can try again another year. <3
I do want to thank you all for being here, though, and for being willing to give this a go and be at the front of our crowd. I am eternally grateful for your support! I am thinking I will make the standard Wolfenoot calendar a "Pets of Wolfenoot" one this year, and will run it in the form of an auction. Keep an eye out on our social media for more information about that soon.

A fifth of the way!

Good morning, beautiful pack!
We're just over a week in, and we're already a fifth of the way to our funding goal. That is amazing! Thank you so much to everyone who has jumped into this project so early in the game!
We have a way to go yet, though, so I wanted to talk about what happens if we hit our goal but I don't have a pet for every page.
The NZ$5k mark is what I need to print and produce these. But of course, if you do the maths you will realise that that is well short of selling every page in the calendar. So if we do not manage that by the end of this campaign, but we have hit the funding mark, I will start weekly silent auctions for pages until they are all gone. These will NOT include a copy of the calendar, but will allow people to bid to have their pet in it.
This can happen while I am in the process of creating the calendar and getting all the pets from my early adopters (that's you wonderful humans) into the format. :)
I'm really excited about this project and very graeful to those of you who have jumped in right at the start. Thank you for being wonderful. <3

We are creating a page a day calendar populated with YOUR pets! You buy your pet a spot in it, and get a copy once they are printed.
