Ohoka Farmers Market Food For Schools - Share The Love Of Market Food!

We are a country farmers market in the Waimakariri, just north of Christchurch. For the last 10 years customers have supported around 100 local seasonal food artisans by shopping with us every Friday morning. Every fortnight for the last 2 years, during the apple season we drop off 40kg of stallholders apples to a low decile school. The kids love it! So we want to do more. Help us. We want to supply the kids with our stallholders fruits and maybe other market foods on a regular weekly basis during school terms all year. It's a win win situation; nutritious foods to children bought direct from the market producers. We are inviting our market customers and supporters of market foods to help us by making a pledge that will not only feed kids well but also supports your favourite food artisan at the market. You make a$50 or $100 pledge and get half back in market food vouchers. Small donations below $10 can be made at the market and you go in the draw to win a market voucher. From Nov 2nd 2018 until Friday Dec 14th we hope our market community will help us raise $10,000 worth of seasonal fresh local foods. You can also make your donation online at the market from Nov 2nd.
