Hi! My name is Elizabeth TIerney and I have been a professional actor here in NZ for the last 7 years. I have had guest roles in Outrageous Forune, Shortland Street and Nothing Trivial (which will screen in the next few weeks) and have filmed with the BBC UK as margaret mead on Tails From the Jungle. I have performed with The Auckland Theatre Company on Oliver! And the Silo Theatre / Large group in The Three Penny Opera as well as numerous other theatre roles and other theatres. OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE
But the catch was, the course starts onJanuary 29 2013!!! leaving hardly any time to save a large sum of money ... $4800 NZD!!! Or the time and money to arrange my visa before I go. The course and accommodation are required to be paid in USD which makes it more expensive and then the flights on top of that.
I am currently saving and paying most of the course off in installments so that leaves me in need of $3600 NZD minimum to get me there. Anything above that will assist in my being able to stay longer and audition over pilot season.
Not long ago I got some very exciting news...I have been accepted into a 5 day intensive course for Professional actors at TVI Studios in Los Angeles. The classes are taught by some of the top casting directors and directors in L.A and it is all happening just before pilot season. An incredible time to be in front of some very influential people!
It was exhilarating to get in and I am dying to turn this dream into a reality! this would be an amazing step forward to achieving a huge goal.

Melbourne cup day at scenic cellars! AWESOME!!! not only was the whole day fantastic but the performance was loads of fun!
Nerves were high as I climbed up on the bar top to begin ALL THAT JAZZ from CHICAGO. However they subsided slightly when I got my first cheers and whistles on the third line of the song! what a great feeling! after that I got to really enjoy what I was doing.
next was SOME PEOPLE from GYPSY. I figured it was appropriate since she was begging her father for money to go to LA and I, well .... yea :-) but it got a good response.
The Ring Master of our melbourne cup day put his top hat out on the bar and the amazing crowd proceeded to empty their pockets. INCREDIBLE. not to mention the kind comments as they did so.
so now there is not long to go! 5 days! Fingres crossed!
