The Hunch Investigates
New Zealand Investigative Journalist Mike Hunch was turned down for funding by NZ on Air for the Digital Innovation fund for his proposed online show The Hunch. Mike has teamed up with 'Planet Key' and TV3's The Nation 'Animation Nation' animator / director Jeremy Jones and journalist Lucy Stone to create an innovative online show to fill the void left by the corporate controlled mainstream media. The pilot which is (part 1 of 2) the backstory of how Mike Hunch got on the wrong side of the mainstream media for exposing his views on what The Hunch believes was the true motivation for the US led invasion of Iraq in 2003. Upon his return to New Zealand Mike is unable to find work in the news media and forced to become an independent online journalist. This gives Mike the freedom to report on the stories the news media choose to ignore. Without any funding support Mike Hunch is seeking crowd funding to cover initial costs to develop show and get initial episodes off the ground. The money raised through this campaign will help with development & production costs for The Hunch. Episodes 1 & 2 are prequels to the show The Hunch which will be a series of 3-4 minute fast paced stories shining a light into the shadows of current local & global events that are of relevance & importance to the public. Mike is quick to jump to conclusions but with the support of colleague Lucy Stone is able to make justify his sometimes outrageous & conspiratal conclusions.
This is the proposed design for The Hunch T Shirts as a reward for $100 pledges. Other T Shirt options including black Tees will be added once designs created. Once or if target is met I will contact directly those eligible for this reward to get preferred Tee option & sizes plus delivery addresses. Thanks for your support.

Mikes story starts back in 2003 when he was contracted by media giant C-NOX to cover the US led war in Iraq. This was where things began to go wrong for Mike and the Hunch proved too much for those in power. Your support will help Mike Hunch get back to what he's good at, exposing the truth. With the help of his colleague and fellow journalist Lucy Stone, Mike Hunch plans to combat the lies and misinformation presented to the people on a daily basis with hard hitting analysis and insight into the stories the mainstream media are hiding from the public. As Mike Hunch famously said "Tinfoil hats are actually made of aluminum so there's a mistruth presented by the media and politicians right there."
