The project

During the course of this year I was having difficulty welding corners of boxes at work.

Taking a leaf from my aviation & industrial background I designed an automatic corner TIG welder that can weld 4 times faster than a human hand while producing a neat, straight seam. The design involved developing concepts, producing drawings and building the prototype to prove the concepts.

After building the prototype I realised that every sheet metal shop on earth will be blessed to own one of these machines, so I set out to supply this need.

After completing and testing the prototype there are several improvements I want to make so that the machine is user friendly and safe. I need some machinery to streamline my production process. I also need to promote the machine to the world. Companies that make fridges, washing machines, dishwashers and any other gadget with boxes will benefit from owning this machine. Unfortunately I have run out of money and this is where I need some help. $20 000 is needed to cover all the remaining costs to bring this machine to market.

The benefits

When my project succeeds, these machines will be built for both the local & export markets. Several new jobs will be created and the country will get foreign revenue from the exports.

Rewards

The rewards I promised to donors will be posted by 30 January and should be received in the first week of February.
