The Harmonic Resonators Make Another Classic Kiwi Album

Project 2022-10-27 23:38:24 +1300

What are we even up to

Here we go again, whanau! The Harmonic Resonators have been busy recording album number 2, titled "Rongo ki te Oro (Listen to the Music)", which is a collection of classic bangers partially translated into Te Reo Māori with the help of our good friend Justin Kereama. The project is well under way and has been part-funded by a combination of a grant from Te Māngai Pāho and the bands own savings. All going well, we will be touring its release in early 2023.

The first single, Ngā Ara (Country Roads) is out now and available here.

The full album will be released 1 December (just in time for Christmas).  Pre-order it now by choosing one of the rewards on the right hand side of this screen (you will need to sign up to Pledge Me to purchase).  There’s no limit to the number of times you can pledge, so if you need more than one copy, go for it!  We REALLY appreciate your support!

What we need (is a great big melting pot)

We are coming to you via PledgeMe for a final pūtea to cover costs of printing physical units and to give you the opportunity to score a pre-sale at the same time. This involves:

- replication and printing of 1000 CDs with songbook ($7000)

- postage and handling ($1400)

- PledgeMe fees ($420)

Any additional funds raised will go toward touring costs (follow our Facebook page for tour updates).

If you don't know us by now...

We are a band of family and friends who originally came together over a love of country music, and have stayed together through sharing a new love of waiata with people and communities at home and around the world.  Frontman Jeremy Hantler is supported by Renny “the Granddaddy of Country Music” Hantler, Sharon “Aunty” McIntyre, Ryan “The Guv’nor” Monaghan, Ryan “Mr Mac” McIntyre, and our special guest Jenny “the Matriarch” Hantler.  We are proud to be doing our little bit to share our music and passion for Te Reo Māori.

Updates 2

A few bonus days, and OVER 100 Pledges - Whoop!

29/11/2022 at 10:20 PM

Hey Fam,

The awesome team at PledgeMe allowed us to add a few days to help us to reach our goal.

This means we'll be slightly later in recieving everybody's postage details, but rewards will still be packed and sent well before the NZpost suggested domestic cutoff date for xmas :) Email us if you're concerned. [email protected].

4 Dec pledgeme closes,

8 Dec contact details of people with successful payments forwarded to us by pledgeme (if our goal is met!)

the good old 'living room production-line post out' done as soon as possible after that :)

Thanks again to everyone who has supported us thus far - especially those without CD players who pledged just to have a tangible reminder that they helped us on our way.

Love your work Resonators whānau.

We’re half-way there!

27/11/2022 at 1:38 PM

Thanks so much, Resonators, whānau and friends for helping us on our way!

Were tracking the same way as our last album's pre-sales with a ramp up over the last few days - but boy does it keep us on our toes!

We'd LOVE it if you could do us a solid and share this link with your friends to say that you've helped us with this venture.

Fingers crossed you hear from us next week with the shipping details after a successful campaign!
