About

Table For Two - Short Film

Project 2020-08-04 14:12:38 +1200

Table for Two is a comedy-drama about three young adults who have just robbed a store, and find themselves splurging their new found money in a fancy restaurant, only to be outwitted by a fed-up waitress. This film focuses on a coming of age theme centred around the desire to take risks while you're still young.

The vision is to create a fun loving short film everyone can enjoy! This film was inspired by one of the film creators' occupation as a waitress and their experiences with annoying customers. However, in the case of this short film the circumstances are a bit more extreme!

This piece is being created by Sammie Rae (Director and Writer) and Sarah Robinson (Producer) as part of their final assignment for their Television and Screen Production major at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). Sammie and Sarah are creatives who have been working on their film production skills over the past two years of their degree so are excited to show off what they have learnt and developed over their time at AUT. Although, they also see this as an opportunity to make a film that goes beyond university and puts them in good stead to integrate themselves into the wider television and screen industry. Additionally, they aspire to enter this piece into film festivals in the future.

We are joined by an awesome crew that consists of James Nicholson as our Executive Producer and Mentor with his wealth of experience and expertise in the film industry. Furthermore, we have the amazing Jack Harris as our Cinematographer, Keria Paterson as our Sound Operator, and Juliet Mora as our 1st Assistant Director.

The funding for this project would go towards the location, catering, props, and costumes, amongst many other things! Both Sammie and Sarah would love to see this film succeed as we hope many of our followers and pledgers do. Therefore, any donation would help them achieve this goal.

If you want to keep updated on the films progress make sure to head to our facebook and instagram pages @tablefortwoshortfilm.

Thank you all in advance for your support and generosity! It is crucial to the success of our film and no matter how big or small it is, it’s greatly appreciated and will allow Sammie and Sarah to create this awesome film!
