Hi folks! I’m here to ask for your help in making my new album a reality on a good, old-fashioned thirty three and a third, twelve inch vinyl record! My first acoustic solo LP!

I’ve written ten tunes I’m really happy with and can’t wait to get ‘em recorded. I may also record a few of my favourite old blues tunes and see which tracks work best over a 35 minute record. 

I'm talking with the incredible, internationally recognised New Zealand artist Ewan McDougall about a painting as part of the album artwork . . . so it's going to be a beautiful piece of art to look at too! 

The actual recording time won’t be super expensive but having it mixed and mastered for vinyl and then turned into records overseas will be tres expensive. And it’s frankly money I just don’t have.

So that’s where YOU come in. You can pre-order your copy of the new album now (NZ$55) and help me to get it recorded and produced. Of course I’m also offering a free quality digital download with each LP, or you can just pre-order a download on it’s own (NZ$20) if that’s more your style.

I’m also offering a range of merchandise and older albums as downloads, Skype concerts (NZ$300) and in-person house concerts (NZ$550) as rewards for larger pledges. 

Or you can get a lifetime VIP pass to any and all of my own promoted shows, my eternal gratitude, and an executive producer’s credit (NZ$2500)

The rough budget looks like this so far:

• Recording/tracking time 10-20 hours NZ$1600

• Mixing time 10-20 hours NZ$1600

• Mastering LP & Digital NZ$1600

• Album production (incl. printing) NZ$3000

• Freight of finished LPS to NZ NZ$1000

• Postage NZ$ 1000

• Promotion etc NZ$ 3000

• Pledge Me Fees NZ$520

                                                                       Total NZ$13,320

So you can see the $9500 I’m seeking here will be a HUGE help towards getting this LP made. In fact without it it just ain't gonna happen. I will top up the balance or find a way. As always so many amazing people will be working for nothing or next to it, and for the love of music to make this album happen. No-one is gonna be getting rich here. 

If I get money over our Pledge Me target it will ALL go into making the record and getting it out into the world.
