Welcome to Stories

Stories Espresso is a Social Enterprise that offers high-school-age young people who aren't in employment or education their first job. In the past year we have employed 20 young people for the first time and launched two espresso bars, Stories on lower Cuba Street and Georgia on the corner of Victoria and Dixon Streets.

Stories is a project of Zeal, a nationwide youth trust that you can find out more about at www.zeal.nz

How You Can Help

After proving our model works, we are now looking for support to go to the next stage which includes:

  1. Launching a youth kitchen where young people with barriers to employment can learn industry-standard catering and food production leading to employment.
  2. Weather-proofing our second business, Georgia, to sustain it's profitability through the harsh Wellington winter.
  3. Development of a third Stories Espresso Bar outside of Wellington.
  4. Purchase of our own coffee machine to replace our current generously loaned machine from our roasters.

Only 10 Hours To Go!!!

11/04/2016 at 1:59 PM

Thanks for you generous contribution to Stories 1st Birthday PledgeMe!

We set a target of $12,000 and have eclipsed this with currently almost $14,000 pledged.

There's one small favour we still need from you. Please share our campaign through your social media channels one last time and let people know there is only 10 hours left until it closes (midnight tonight) and that this is their last opportunity to support the amazing stuff Stories does with Wellington young people. We still have plenty of great rewards available including 3 dessert and coffee experiences and a bunch of our limited edition mugs.

Thanks for your support. It means the world to our team and our young people.
