Help Me Make My Dream Come True And Help Me To Get The Grand Opening

Project 2014-07-14 01:04:38 +1200

Hi Everyone

My name is Kris and I have a shop opening in the Capital Market on Willis St.

The grand opening for Capital Market is on the 30th of July and I need your help get me there.

I specialise in custom cakes and treats with a twist. My most popular items are Kit Kat brownies, Salted Caramel Rum Cookies and Inception cookies which are cookies with a secret centre.

Treats with a twist

This all began when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had no cookies in the pantry or enough energy to go to the shop to get some while homebound in 2011. Baking makes me sooooo happy and I have decided to pursue my dreams and start Sweet Release this February. Some you of may have read the article on the Dominion Post about my story back in April: http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/capital-life/9906056/Sweet-release-turns-into-busy-job

I have weekly clients and people are always asking where they can purchase my baking. I would really appreciate your help making my dream come true and to have a place where people can eat my treats.

When you come to the Sweet Release shop, you'll be able to smell the baking aroma as the commercial kitchen will be situated at the back. Please check Sweet Release Cakes and Treats on Facebook for updates. www.facebook.com/sweetreleasecakesandtreats

I receive the keys on the 20th of July and there is so much work to do. Painting, floors, baking equipment (Coffee machine, display units, stainless steel benches, oven, mixer) labour for plumbing, electricity and the hiring of staff members.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me this far and continues to support me. When the shop opens, I plan on having a Wall of Fame with all your names to remember and acknowledge your support. It means everything to me. Thank you.

xx

Kris

Pledgeme project update:

Unfortunately, we didn't meet the required goal of $10K. It was a long shot and considering 40 people pledged and we raised $2,030 in just 8 days was a big accomplishment.

Pledge me is an all or nothing platform so your credit cards won't be charged but if you would still like to help out, please send me a private message with your full name, address and the reward you choose.I will email you with the Sweet Release bank account and honor those pledges for you. 6 people have opted to have treats named after them and would love to follow those through. My shop is your shop

A BIG thank you to everyone who helped with this project. Thank you to everyone who pledged in the last couple of days:

Maria Milmine, Mark Moore, Megan, Catherine, Aaron Gustofson, Annette Snelling, Lesleigh Horton Romond, Erika Baxter and Jennifer.

Painting has finished (Sweet Release Blue on the walls! :D) and all suppliers have been set up ready to go for next week. We may not reach Capital Markets grand opening of Wednesday, 30th of July but there is still time to push hard in the next few days. Thank you all for your support. xx
