Who is Ride Along?
Ride Along is a startup company based in Ashburton. The founder, Stephen Clemens (above) is the driving force behind the project, and with the help of Charles Nicolson, our tech developer and Britany Miles, our Mental Health & Wellbeing Co-Ordinator, we are creating a mobile app that has “never been done before”.
Product Description:
The Ride Along App will primarily focus on connecting drivers with passengers who want to join them. Through clever design and a simple layout, this App will have the power to connect people within minutes of downloading.
With a key focus being mental wellbeing and mental fitness, the added features as the App grows will assist users by providing tools and advice to help them gain or maintain the level of mental wellbeing they desire.

As you enter the App, you will feel as though you are entering a truck yard. Starting at the office you will be prompted to sign in as we show off some of the amazing pictures that our users have submitted.
You will then be prompted to select which area of the yard you wish to visit. Initially, “dispatch” will be the first feature available, and this is where you will go to see what rides are going where and choose one that suits you best.
After a quick chat with your match to confirm ride details, you are on your way to go for a ride in your favorite truck!
Funding Details
We are looking to raise the sum of $30,000 as our initial seed funding for the project. This money will help us to raise more money through innovation funding schemes as well as directly contributing to the following.
Our seed funding will go towards:
● The building of the App itself. this includes the research and development stages that come with creating brand new technology.
The processes involved with creating a ride match have never been done before so our team will be leading the way!
● Initial legal work involved in setting up documents that support the operation of the App.
● Growing our community, spreading the word, and gaining momentum. this includes creating merchandise, Advertising campaigns, and promotional events.
● Launching our brand new product to market.
