Let's Complete 'OUT NZ' - The Stories Of LGBT Kiwis
Project 2016-10-12 17:59:59 +1300
'OUT NZ' tells the stories of six LGBTQ New Zealanders from a variety of ages, sexualities, gender identities and ethnicities.
From their own stories of coming out to looking at the supposedly accepting culture Aotearoa thinks it has - but what's improved for our queer communities since the passing of the Homosexual Law Reform 30 years ago and the legalisation of same-sex marriage in 2013? And what else needs to be done?
While this self-funded project is almost complete, Dunedin-based director Greta Yeoman (of ALittleFaith Films) is looking for a little bit of kind koha to obtain the last bit of footage required to make this film as good as she dreams it to be.
Will you help this film 'come out' into the world?

So this morning we passed the funding target for 'OUT NZ' and I am so grateful to all of you who donated your hard-earned cash to this project, shared the fundraiser link and have been supporting this wee film. This last bit of cash will enable me to get the TVNZ footage I wanted to use in the film, which, I feel will add just that little extra bit of spark to the project.
So, we can celebrate this, and to say thanks I've included a YouTube link for the Indigo Girls' 'Closer to Fine' (just 'cause I can).
The project is nearing its completion, with three film festival deadlines approaching next month, but I will keep you in the loop about screenings early next year.
But thanks very much again!
