Rugby League World Cup

My name is Bernard Gregorius, a rugby league player of Haitian/Dutch decent born and raised in Upper Hutt. I am currently a student at Victoria University, in my last year of completing my Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Film Studies. I currently play for the Victoria University Hunters and have always aspired to progress into greater things in Rugby League. In June a team of 23 players with the same passion for rugby league will make a journey over to Leeds in the UK to play against some of the world's best players in the Rugby League World Cups Festival - more specifically the Students World Cup. We will be representing New Zealand, and dream of bringing back a championship.
Unfortunately getting to the World Cup is the biggest object in our way of achieving this dream. We have each been given the financial commitment of raising $5,000 to essentially pay our way over there. This has proved an onerous and difficult task thus far, as I am a full time student, and I have been approaching many different corporations and supporters of Rugby League to little avail. So now it is time to turn to social media to help raise some of the costs to achieving my dream. I hope to achieve this with the support of my friends, family and the generous people of Pledgeme. I hope to source some rewards to give recognition to those who do show support and will update those as soon as possible.
