Biotech Jewellery - Watch Your Locket Bloom In Vibrant Colours!

Project 2013-03-23 21:28:02 +1300

Life is too short to wear jewellery identical to millions of others! every person deserves the opportunity to wear a piece of jewellery that truly reflects who they are: a living, growing and vibrant person.

Our journey to fuse fashion and science began one afternoon as an idea by a Dunedin microbiologist Emily Sutton. In what seems like no time, a young team of artists, industrial designers and scientists have grown around it.

We have developed a prototype method of producing life protected inside jewelry that blooms into vibrant colours for a lasting effect. It is harmless and not genetically modified. We are currently working on different quality materials in which to set each each piece which will grow into a unique and wearable piece of art before your eyes. We are designing with quality and durability in mind. We will use funds generated from Pledgeme to make our lockets a reality. We want to take our living jewellery global!
