About

THE IMAGINARIUM

Project 2012-11-26 00:55:20 +1300

I have been accepted for an internship at the Imaginarium studios in London.

Check it out here - www.theimaginariumstudios.com

This is a great opportunity to work with some of the best motion capture artists in the word and to pick their brains for skills to advance my work.

Since I began my training at Toi Whakaari, my main creative interest is using the body to tell a story. At the Imaginarium they are "searching to create a new generation of storytelling through performance capture" and this aligns with what I would like to explore within my own work.

I see performance capture as a strong area of the New Zealand film industry with the type of films being made here, e.g. The Hobbit, Avatar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Tintin, and I would like to be a contributor to this growing industry.

So please help me begin this exploration to what is a very hard world to get a foot in the door.
