Help Indian Ink's Dreams Come True In New York City

Project 2012-11-19 01:25:15 +1300

"I actually can't think of performing in New York City without a stupid grin filling my face"- Jacob Rajan, Indian Ink Theatre Company

For more than 15 years we've had the joy of making and performing the kind of theatre we love. We hope it brings our audiences pleasure and at its best transports people to magical worlds.

Now we have a long dreamed of opportunity to perform Guru of Chai in an Off Broadway theatre in New York City. The short season will be on during APAP, the world's largest performing arts market where over 3,500 producers and presenters converge in New York City for 5 days.

We have a top US agent behind us and we're sure that once the hotshot producers and presenters see Guru of Chai live, they'll love it and we'll be on the road with tours throughout USA and elsewhere.

We need to raise $18,000 to send our team to the USA. These funds will contribute to airfares, freight, venue hire, accommodation and more. Please support us!

For major contributions-$1000 or more you might like to become an Indian Ink Patron.

By becoming an Indian Ink Patron, gifts of $1000 or more may be eligible for a tax credit.

Thanks from us all at Indian Ink!

2 Days to go!

16/12/2012 at 8:35 PM

Thanks for your pledge and the many other pledges we've received - means we are nearly there! We've  just two days to go and over $4,000 to raise.

Please help us to spread the word - perhaps challenge your network of friends and co-workers to match your donation or tell them all you want for Christmas an Indian Ink Pledge Me reward!

Thanks again for your donation, it means so much!

We're over the half-way mark!

14/12/2012 at 2:29 AM

We're over the half-way mark - woo hoo!

That means, in theory, we've got to New York but we can't get back! Imagine that: it's 3 degrees outside,  we're burning Dave's banjo for warmth and we're down to our last bagel.

Actually that will never happen because the rules of Pledge Me dictate that if we don't meet the target of $18,000 we don't' get any of the money. We're not going to let that happen team - that would be too sad this close to Christmas.

Thanks to all our gorgeous Pledgers who got us this far. There are 5 days to go and $8,000 to raise so to paraphrase Frank Sinatra: "Start spreading the news, it's time to donate. We want you to be a part of it, New York, New York!"
Please help us in the final push.

That blue line doesn't move by staring at it - believe me, we've tried. It's time to CHARGE! (….the credit card)

Thank you. Your names will be forever etched in our hearts.

Thanks from Indian Ink

Thank you very much for your donation.

You are one of the very first to come onboard and we thank you very much.

So far we have raised $5,500 – that is almost a third of the way there!

That means the team could get to Tahiti . This would be great place to go if we were off on a holiday,  Justin could have a surf, Jacob could play golf .  But no! We’re on a mission and New York awaits!

The PledgeMe rules are that if we do not meet the target, we will not receive any of the money pledged.

We’ve three weeks to raise the balance please spread the word, encourage your networks to support us, challenge your friends to match your donation then we’ll get there – all thanks to you!

Thanks again from all of us at Indian Ink.
