Bacchus Lite: Alcohol-Free Alternatives

Project 2019-04-27 15:23:21 +1200

Bacchus Lite will be a guide to the alcohol-free options out there - for those who are cutting back or don't want to be drinking alcohol. From the zero percent beers, to de-alcoholised wines, alcohol-free distillates and other "adult but sober" options.

We've been exploring these lately, and there's a lack of consistent information out there about these options - particularly around what is available in New Zealand. Bacchus Lite will be an approachable blog-of-discovery for the typical kiwi (either non-drinker, going sober or just not wanting alcohol on every occasion) exploring the options that are out there and helping us all navigate the aisles to the options we're looking for.

Readers should expect some frank reviews, some of these beverages are darned tasty, but there are some that I will be calling out as pretty rank... (One blog post warning you off one of these drinks is already worth your pledge.)

I've got a number of reviews written, and a whole lot more options lined up for tasting. I'm simply asking for some support to get this published and visible online - we're paying for our own drinks here (and if we meet our stretch goal, for anyone who takes the "Come Dine with Me" option!)

Come along and join us on the journey...

Head to http://bacchuslite.com to check out new reviews dropping every day this week to build the picture of how the site will be working as a resource.... There's a lot more content and reviews to follow, but these pages of reviews provide a good start and already some good insight into some of the alcohol free alternatives out there....

If you want to help ensure there's relevant, kiwi focussed information for those of us cutting back or looking for alternatives, then please do pledge now... Every bit counts...

To give a better sense of tone and content, as the site is coming together I have added the first review (of many) here: http://bacchuslite.com/wines/edenvale-rose/

Have a gander and see if this is the kind of content you want to support...

Another review prepared

The content is coming together nicely... tonight I've written up a review of the smoky goodness of this Manuka Stout - a kiwi made gem...

Help me get more information out there about this, and other prime options for sober drivers/those who are cutting back/those who want a change :)
