Hello !
My name is Jojo Ross and my graduate collection the anomalies has been selected to at Australian Graduates Fashion Week.. Whoo hoo!
The Anomalies is inspired by the scientific research of String Theory. It is a 23 piece collection and includes five 3-Dimensional string weavings. Each individual piece contains betweeen 70meters - 250meters of string.
I've shown my collection at i.D International emerging designer awards, and in the i.D Fashion Week in in Dunedin, and my collection was featured in this years september issue of Vogue Italia. But AGFW will be my biggest achievement and a huge kick start to my career.
It really is a once in a lifetime opportunity but it's a rather timely and costly endeavour. I have to get a very large collection shipped to me in Auckland from Oamaru, fixed and re-jigged, then fly it to Sydney by 9th of November. I then have to fly back again on 23rd of November to Sydney for judging and the show. I also have to get a passport.
So much to do, so little time and.. money. The whole endeavor will cost me at the very least another $1500 of precious dollars of which i do not have. Any spare change will help me to get one step closer to my dream career.
