Hi there, My name is Anneliese and I am an almost-graduating fine art degree student. I am a single mum to two amazing (smelly) teenage boys and have worked super hard to complete my degree in 2 years. I am an 'A' student and love what I do. My aim is to share my passion and teach art, particularly non-toxic printmaking. I have taught photography night courses in the past and one of the best feedback comments I had from a student was that I taught them to see differently.

Funds have been tight while I have been studying..it is the first time in my life that I haven't had a job as such. My patient children have proof-read essays and taught me how to use animation software, as well as being understanding that I am more vacant than usual and walk around covered in printing ink.

I really need some help quickly to frame and present work for my graduate show. I want my boys and family to come to my exhibition and be really proud, knowing that the hard work and sacrifices over the last few years have been worth it. I am reaching out to all of the supporters of the arts out there and reassure you that i will give plenty back to that same community in return.

My deadline is really close..arrgghh! I can't believe how fast 2 years can fly by...can you help me please? Take your pick from the fine list of rewards. Also if anyone is interested in knowing more about the concepts and techniques in my work, there is a little about it below. I am most happy to talk to anyone who is interested in knowing more.

My studio work this year has culminated in a series titled ‘The Space Between’ and references a space beyond logic, that area inhabited by our unconscious that we cannot fully explain with language.

Like an ear to a seashell is the mind to a page

You are more than these words, they are a crude sketch at best

Warp, weft, word, phrase

Clatter clutter letters creating curtains that obscure the void

Handsome language, you are a comfort blanket

through the weave, in the space between

that is where the rest of ‘I’ exists.

Using arbitrary rules which I apply to the punctuation marks of fairytale texts, I create geometric shapes and create them in monoprint and intron prints, combined with collage. I print onto found objects such as books and envelopes.

Thanks so much for reading my pledge, I hope to hear from you!
Anneliese

YAY!! I did it!

I have reached my target! Thank you so much to everyone who helped, I am truly grateful. This has been a fantastic experience, thanks to the Pledgeme team for providing this platform for creative kiwis.
I will definitely use it again, next time for a community arts project.
I think I will sleep well tonight knowing I have the funds to finish my studies in the way I most want to. Bring on the exhibition! ( but not until after the 8th, still working like a crazy thing to get it all done!)
