YOLO - Youth Festival

We are the Onehunga/Oranga Youth Network, a collective of organisations and youth workers from the Onehunga Oranga area in Auckland who meet regularly to network and discuss opportunities for youth in the area. 

There is such a wealth of talent and potential among the young people in the area that we have decided to put on a Youth Festival to celebrate all of this fresh talent!

We have been working with our local youth to plan and run ‘YOLO’; an event to celebrate youth through music and creative arts in early December. 

The purpose of this event is to; 
• Celebrate and honour young people 
• Showcase the amazing talent among the young people in the area
• Enhance key connections, amend and promote quality relationships with youth and the wider community 
• Involve youth in decision making and event planning 

We need financial support to help us make this amazing event happen!! Though there are a number of services involved in this project, most are social or community based services, with limited resource. Through supporting our project, you will be providing the young people in Onehunga/Oranga with an event that will celebrate talent, inspire dreams and encourage new connections to be made.
