TU MEKE TŪĪ - BOOK TOUR - SEPTEMBER 2017

Project 2017-08-03 18:32:09 +1200

Tu Meke Tūī! is a children’s book about an unlikely friendship between two New Zealand native birds. Tere the Tūī and Taitu the Takahe couldn't be more unlikely friends. Both are New Zealand native birds but that's about where the similarities end.

Malcolm wrote Tu Meke Tūī! to help young readers reconnect to our natural world, in the hope that if they have positive memories about nature they might be more inclined to look after it in the future.

In the first two weeks of September Malcolm will be travelling around New Zealand visiting over 30 schools and early childhood centres for readings and a conversation about nature.

You can see the tour schedule and places he will be visiting here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ssPXf2dd3s1FlIG4Q5ggNXI5wxQ&usp=sharing

We are offering the readings for FREE!

There is NO payment required!

However, if you or your class are feeling generous, you are more than welcome to make a contribution via this campaign. Any funds raised will go towards travel and accomodation expenses. This trip is self funded so any little bit of help will be greatly appreciated.

Malcolm is really keen to get to as many schools as possible, the more people he can reach on an indiviual level, the better chance we have of keeping the conversation about nature preservation going.
