We’re seeking support for the Maka Emali, a group of craftspeople of the Maasai and Kamba communities in Emali, Kenya to decorate the shop where Maka Emali artisan communities can create, display and sell unique colourful baskets and jewellery with the aim of attracting more customers.
Bringing back these traditional crafts is creating ongoing income for communities most affected by drought; improving the lives of children and their families.
Donate now to help children break free from poverty with ChildFund. Read about ChildFund's work with MakaEmali
Emali is a small town Kenya, on the main tourist route between Mombassa and Nairobi and Maka Emali are a community of Maasai and Kamba artisans.
You can see the beautiful crafts made by Maka Emali on Pinterest.
Stay in touch with happenings in Maka Emali on their Wordpress site.
We will share your contact information with ChildFund, as your donation has tax-deductibility status for donations of $5 or more; therefore a tax-deductible receipt will be issued by ChildFund New Zealand for your donation.
