Hi. We are a collective that don't enjoy long walks, make short films, and none of us live in Aro Valley. We call ourselves Aro Valley Hiking Club.

We’re looking to fund the second series of our current production, BURBS, a dark comedy web-series. Each instalment is set in a different Wellington suburb. They are stand-alone titles, but all are united by a sense of humour that is specific to us, to Wellington and to New Zealand. 

In season one, we explored Mermaid-Tinder dates on the rocky shores of Owhiro Bay, avant-garde theatre at a flat in Newtown, an orgy in the depths of Seatoun, sleepwalking in Brooklyn and a turf war between two Queens in Strathmore.

Sonia Sly from RNZ's Standing Room Only says, "...Regardless of whether you’ve lived in Wellington, Burbs will make you laugh…and maybe even cry." 

The second season of BURBS will be bigger and better, but we need your help.

Thanks to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts so far, but we still need to cover many essential costs such as camera, lighting hire, costumes, props, makeup, food, petrol, and Public Liability Insurance.
