'A journey which we are all in with no exception'

Our Wharenui needs to be rebuilt costing over $300k.  This project will provide  some of the funding to start laying the foundation for our new wharenui.  A number of  Fundraisers have already been held and we are thankful to those who continue to support the Marae.  Theres no doubt about it.  We need a new Whare where our families can gather, our loved ones can be farewelled and our grandchildren will come to hear their kaumatua tell their history.

The rebuild WILL happen and the sooner we are able to fund our contribution, the faster the project will be and the sooner we will see results.

There are small fundraisers happening as well but we need an injection of at least a $100,000 to support the Project.   The ground work has been completed.  The Plans are drawn up and Now we need the  $$$$  to achieve this.

Through the support of Pledgeme, we hope to raise a portion of the total costs and keeping in mind our first attempt failed so we are trying to keep it achievable and aim for $25,000.  We must reach the Target amount within the timeframe.  Once Pledgeme is satisfied that all pledges are honoured they will credit the Marae Account with the Funds.

Give a little and show your support for our Marae.  Building it Bigger & Stronger

"A solid foundation for the future of our mokopuna."

P Marae rebuild plan

In the rebuild, the wharenui will be made Earthquake proof, and will be wider and longer creating more space inside.  Hot water will be changed to gas creating more efficiency and as much of the Buildings  traditional features will be recreated.   A refurbished ablution block is also in the next stage of the planning along with a new mattress room, Mobility Shower and ablution and a Kaumatua room. As well as strengthening of the whole back verandah of the Kitchen thats a whole lot of work ahead, and YOUR contribution will help to see this through to completion.
