Who is Job Well Done?
I am Ivan from Job Well Done! I successfully tested this concept at Dunedin StartUp Weekend and I'm passionate about the importance of teaching our kids the key life skills they need, through family fun and interaction.
I need your help to develop a pilot version of the game.
What's the problem?
I pitched an idea close to my heart, that getting his kids to do anything was hard. And he's not the only one.
68% of respondents of our survey said getting kids to do household tasks is a problem.
Want to know more about this problem and our idea? Click the below link to watch the 5-minute business pitch for the Start Up Dunedin Weekend - presented by Hannah Sinclair from Otago Polytechnic, who was on my team, along with Anna Schimd from Outasight Marketing.
What's the game
Job Well Done is an interactive card game that provides families with a fun way to teach and learn life skills.. that's a job well done.
How it works?
Step 1: Task cards are allocated weekly to all family members
Step 2: 3 action cards are allocated to all players allowing them to negotiate how tasks can be completed, eg swap, pass on, have a rest
Step 3: Rewards may be up for grabs when tasks are completed
Tasks will include things like:
- Do your homework
- Brush your teeth
- Wash the dishes
- Take out the rubbish
- Feed the pets
- Make your bed
How you can help?
We need your help to bring the Job Well Done card game to life! Your pledges will help us get Job Well Done into production.
You will receive a copy of the pilot version of the game and I'd love to hear how it works so I can refine it further.
