The MovinCog Initiative is a non-profit organisation dedicated to offering schools, parents, and children with learning difficulties the tools they need to thrive and succeed. Too often, due to financial costs or the lack of scientific evidence surrounding marketing claims, effective remediation programmes are unsuited or inaccessible. Our programme is free of charge and based on the latest evidence from neuroscience. It uses both physical exercise and cognitive training in order to strengthen and enhance learning mechanisms in the brain. It will be available to anyone who needs it, so that financial means or poor science does not get in the way of learning and success.

Implementation of the programme involves visiting the schools interested, so as to allow teachers and educators full autonomy once it has been tested. The programme involves a unique combination of physical exercise and brain training games; the former has been shown to create new neurons and the latter helps retain these neurons in the brain. 

Currently, we are primarily providing our programme to schools in Auckland and its surroudings. Our overall aim, however, is to be able to provide this initiative to all schools across New Zealand. Your pledge will help cover implementation costs for the programme in schools outside the Auckland region, so that all children who would benefit from it can be reached.
