About "It's Papa's Truck"
Follow our heroes 'Boggie' and Grandad as they escape mum's rules once again to do everything they are not suppose to be doing.
This children's bedtime storybook will be 24 pages of full colour illustrations in hardcover. The book is written by Emma Renata and illustrated by Polly Rabbits. Here's a sneak peek at the first couple of pages
It's Friday night and there they go
Ducking and sneaking to and fro
Hiding from Mum who's ready to shout
"Get to bed Boogie, you’re not going out”
Papa and Boogie in fits of laughter
Run from the house, they'll deal with Mum afterBoogie sits in his seat, strapped up nice and tight
Papa smiles at him as they ponder their plight
Papa turns the key, the Western Star starts with a roar,
Laughing their heads off, down the road they soar,
With Mum out of sight, there is no fear,
Now where will they go? Where will they dare?
Do you want to find out what happens next to Boogie and Grandad? You can by getting your hands on a presale copy to the right postage included to anywhere
About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Emma Renata, 29 years old and I grew up in Manaia, 15 minutes out of Coromandel Town. I'm the proud mum of 3 beautiful little babies--2 with feet and 1 with wings!
My little angel is Te Manawa Whetuki (nee Boogie). In April 2014 we lost our Boogie in a driveway incident in Auckland. There is nothing I can really say to touch base on the road we face everyday
I still remember Boogie and my Dad playing, giving him whatever he wanted, and never listening to a word I say! He does the same now with his sisters. These two were a crazy pair! We often joke about how before son came along... We don't have a single photo of dad smiling. Having a little book about them to read to his sisters, feels perfect!
We have our ups and downs and know we always will. In June this year our mum also receive her angel wings early in life. Knowing that our little man now has his Nanny with him, has helped us start to think about what life has in store for us next.
We want to publish our book, tell a few of Boogie's stories and share some happiness and laughter
In Loving Memory of Te Manawa Whetuki Renata (nee Boogie)

Driveway safety
Every two weeks a child is hospitalised with serious injuries received from a vehicle driving on a private driveway in New Zealand. On average, a further five children are killed annually in the same way. Most children injured in driveway incidents are toddlers, and the driver is usually the father, mother or a close family member.
The devastating impact of these events upon families cannot be overstated.
Some proceeds for the sale of this storybook will go towards supporting Safekids Aotearoa's driveway safety campaign this summer.

Sarah and Josie came to us the night we lost our son, offering to take castings of his hands and feet. A priceless gift we now treasure beyond words. Had they not offered I never would have known it was even possible. There are no words that could ever thank them enough. But I'm going to start by supporting them to create these memories and gifts for others who share the long road ahead we travel on together
Pregnancy Baby & Infant Loss Support
Baby Loss NZ are a registered charity (CC32638) set up to support parents and their families who have experienced the death of a baby during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy. We also support parents facing the difficult decision following a poor prognosis.
Baby Loss NZ primarily supports our local hospital – Middlemore – educating staff on the experience of baby loss and providing support items for them to give to parents. Our main service is the Care Bags and Tangible Memory Making Service we provide to bereaved parent.
