Auckland Werewolf Live Action Role Play (LARP) Campaign

So starting this up to see what happens. On 04/09/2015 Porl offered to run an old world of darkness werewolf larp with the system being developed by "By Night Studios" following on from their Masquerade book.
Porl made the comment that when he was in Canada he saw Megalodon teeth for sale and he always regretted not buying one, and he alluded to how it would be awesome for a werewolf character to have one as a necklace prop, and he would be willing to run a Larp if he got one.
So to make this a thing I am starting up this crowdfunding campaign. Anyone that knows Porl knows how much time and effort he puts into LARPs especially the ones he runs. He has a lot of experience in both writing LARPs, as well as running them from the Requiem game in Auckland, Multiple Bad Dream games at Chimera, assisting with crew and plot in Crucible, and to running the Auckland branch of the OWBN game for a number of years on his own.
I felt it would be a great idea for the people that wanted to play in a game written and run by Porl to be able to get in on this.
Things we will need:
Copies of the Rules - Currently these are in BETA testing and free however once they are finalised buying 1+ copies of the rule book is a must, based on the Vampire rules I am expecting Hard cover to be US$60 and Soft cover to be US$35 + Shipping. Ideally having 1 Hard Cover book for GM reference, and 1 soft cover book for every 15 players
The tooth - Without this we won't get anywhere. Quick research and google searches show these range from US$10 (for 1-2 inch teeth) up to the thousands depending on condition and size, for this I feel we should get a decent one so $300 so should be able to get a 4 inch tooth in good condition potentially as a necklace.
Props - A range of things to assist with the immersion into the game.
Venue - Given the location and facilities will probably look at using the Auckland Horticultural centre. This is still TBC
Costumes - We may have a lot of this covered within the community however things usually need repairs and also adding some unique werewolf costumes into the mix would be awesome.
Administration costs - Paper, Printer Ink, the boring stuff without which the game suffers.
The funding goal is $500 as a modest start once to cover costs of booking venue, the tooth which will be featured as a major prop as well as the funds to order the books when they are available and cover booking costs of the initial venue, and the fees for crowdfunding.
Extra money received above the funding goal will be used for Props, Costumes and ongoing Administration.

3 days and counting. Thank you all so much for your pledges. I have put up an additional reward tier as a special before the pledge campaign ends.
Next steps will be to order the tooth and to then work out what dates work for everyone and don't clash with other games.

Wow guys... Thank you all so much for the support! It means a lot to me and the ST team that you guys want this to happen. We are all completely blown away by this.
From me, I honestly didn't expect this. And I am truly humbled by it. Thank you all so much.
In other news I have started designing a mockup of character sheets and we have started discussing the various options for submitting actions and what we might try.
We have also started throwing some times in the month around to see what works for us so we can run this thing!

The sound of the rain and wind battering against the walls outside was almost enough to drown out the screaming, but not for Erica. Wrists cut and bruised as she furiously tried to escape the cuffs… dislocating her thumb hadn’t helped, she screamed again as she yanked again and again, pain flashing up her whole arm. Then she stopped as her eyes locked on to the eyes of the creature. It was done disembowelling her flat mate… a long taloned hand reached forward towards her, engulfing her face and then all was darkness and pain… oh god so much pain and yet unable to open her mouth to scream… and the pain never stops…
--- A castaway paper on sidewalk of central city lies open to page 3, and in no noticeable font reads “Erica Walker a young graduate new to Detroit is wanted in relation to the fire in a flat in downtown. The remains of a burned body found in her flat have been identified as Carla Mandez a 24 year old nurse. The cause of the fire has been identified as a cigarette that contained traces of the latest designer drug Solstice though to be linked to a drug ring on the other side of the border.”
--- And the world goes about its business… and the pain continues… and the screams are only in her head now and forever more… the world of darkness claims one more to the horrors of the Wrym.
--- Will you join the fight, will you stand firm in the absence of light and stare down the evil that lies in the shadows. Will you grow to be the creature that strikes fear into the darkness, or risk everything and fail? Come and find out…
The Story So Far....

Hey All
Thank you to the people who have pledged already, your commitment to us being able to do this gives us hope that it will become a reality.
I have also been talking to Sarah of Static Creature and she is making us 5 wolf necklaces to be used as a part of the campaign. We have a few ideas of how to integrate them into the existing rewards and story ideas. I really do suggest looking at her Facebook page to see how talented she is. You may even want to give her a like or check out her stall at Armageddon.
Anyone who wants to get an idea of the rules I would seriously consider joining the Edge of Extinction game being run monthly in Auckland. This is the vampire version of the rules that were also made by "By Night" publishing.
Porl is bouncing ideas around for story, so let’s do this thing!
