DEVELOPING ICE HOCKEY IN DUNEDIN
Liam started playing ice hockey in February this year, first learning the basics with Kiwi Hockey before getting a spot on the Dunedin Penguins Peewee team. If you've seen any of the photos of him you may have caught a glimpse of the great joy he has had when playing.
While he will be moving up to the Dunedin Penguins Midget team next season, there will be a new group of players moving up from Kiwi Hockey to Peewees. There will also be new players (as young as five) getting introduced to ice hockey and starting with Kiwi Hockey.
Liam is now helping the Dunedin Ice Hockey Association raise funds to purchase hockey equipment and give many youngsters the opportunity to play ice hockey, acquire new skills and become part of one of the Dunedin Penguins teams.

Liam, a Dunedin Penguins Peewee player will be taking part in the Skate-a-thon. He will be skating around the hockey rink at the Dunedin Ice Stadium for an hour, keeping track of the number of laps he completes. How many laps will he complete? |
