Our Project aim is to fundraise $20'000 to go towards a cruise in europe for Josh Perry. Josh has cerebal palsy and wants to raise awarness by documenting his experience and making a short film. Josh works in marketing for 'Stopping Violence Dunedin' and aims to save $5000 himself towards the project.
Josh-
I am wanting to film a short documentary of myself breaking barriers and traveling around europe
I believe this is going to empower other disabled people to believe that they can achieve anything they put their minds to no matter what the mental of physical barrier my be.
Long term I am wanting to start an Organisation called Ability to Travel, which involves helping disabled people travel overseas, either for a holiday, O.E and eventually making travel accessible for disabled people to move for work or family etc.
Short term, I need to raise $20,000 which will cover the cost of my accommodation, flights and food. As well as the added cost of two care workers who will assist me in my daily tasks on this journey and their accommodation, flights and food. Including the costs of the documentary which will bring more awareness to my project.
