Dear 60+ pledgers from the last 2 campaigns, thank you for your patience! 'Myselves' is being mastered later this week/early next week at the latest, so I will be emailing you your personal copy very soon :) I'm SO looking forward to sharing it with all the pledgers and can't wait to hear what you think

i just wanted to keep people that are not on FB in the loop as im aware thats were i post the most! So I posted the following thoughts on FB, check them out below if you want. Facebook post - "My post pledgeme campaign thoughts that I wanted to share with pledgers: I found the process hard this time around. I'm very grateful for the help to record this new song and the support ALWAYS blows me away, and the reality is I couldn't afford to do it without your support. It was just hard knowing that I only had 4 paintings for the draw and that the majority of pledgers weren't going to get a painting and will just be receiving the song. I wish I could give everyone a painting, so that I'm giving as I take. I thought I was better at accepting kindness (I even wrote a song about that very thing!) but to be honest I found it hard. So I just wanted to acknowledge all that as I prepare for another pledgeme campaign - as they say, better out then in :) This next campaign will have a lower target (and 4 paintings, including the guitar) as I'm aware it's a lot to ask people, many who have already pledged to support this song. Just to let you know that the offical draw is happening this Monday at The Mental Health Foundation of NZ. Judi Clements (CEO) will be doing the honours :) I'm so looking forward to it and will post photos on my FB pages. I have added 3 smaller paintings to the mix to acknowledge the awesome contributions from you guys, so there will be 4 names drawn for the 4 rewards.

Also, I'm in the studio this weekend recording 'Myselves' and I'll be sending a copy to you all just as soon as i can. It may take a couple weeks as the musician on keys has a gig in Japan this weekend, so he'll add keys the following weekend and then it'll be off to be mastered.

If it's of interest to anyone, I'm going to be doing another campaign to try and fund some of the other half of the costs. I have been working hardout on the following 2 pieces and will add 2 smaller ones as well

1. The Blue Footed Boobies guitar. I'll be adding the lyrics of 'Myselves' to the back of the guitar. I got the stringless guitar at an antique shop in Cambridge many years ago and had been using it to draw around for the guitar shape on canvases up until I realised it was itself a canvas! 

2. A frameless canvas that can literally be pinned to the wall! - The Treehouse, including lap pool. I still have Maungakiekie (One Tree Hill) to finish and a 'home sweet as home' sign to go on the door :)

Thank you so much for your pledges. I have the studio time and musicans booked for July 11th! I'm super excited to record this new song, i think its one of my best. So thank you for being a part of making it possible. The funds raised (minus fees) will pay ~1/2 of the cost of making this single. 

I also wanted to let you know I am adding 2 mini paintings to the draw for the 2nd and 3rd tickets drawn following the end of this campaign.

Here is the first one ive started (12.5cm) i hope you like it :)

One other thing! I wasnt anticpating being able to run another campaign, but have been stoked by the response and feedback. So I am giving it a shot to fund the other half of the recording costs. This will be much the same as this campaign except i will be painting a guitar and there will be 3 other paintings as rewards, so 4 in total.
