Silver City To Surf In Armour

Silver wants to get to the International Medieval Combat Federation (IMCF) tournament in 2016.
A member of the New Zealand based full contact medieval fighting club, The B-Company, Silver trains frequently to maintain his fitness for this fast paced and challenging sport.
Silver is no stranger to running in medieval armour, in 2013 he ran 5 km to help fund-raise for the national team (https://www.pledgeme.co.nz/projects/673-running-into-battle).Once Silver has reached his funding goal, he will be able to compete overseas for the first time ever next year.
The money raised will help him pay for equipment and go towards his flights and accommodation.

Silver is hoping to represent New Zealand in the Longsword tournament, check out some footage from last years tournament here:

We are aiming for a total of $2500 to help Silver reach his goal, however he will need to fundraise $5000 at least to get to the tournament. Offers of help or other fundraising suggestions and oppurtunities are welcomed.

If you need more incentive to donate than just seeing Silver torture himself by running 14 km in heavy medieval armour, then check out the rewards available on the right ---->
***PLEASE NOTE*** Silver will be unable to send postcards from Poland this year, he will however to be very happy to send you one from Christchurch instead.

Getting in shape...

Part of Silvers training regime includes training with a padded sword wearing a 10kg weighted vest, arm and leg weights and and altitude training mask. The altitude mask helps him train for the reduced airflow many fighters experience while wearing thier helmets.
