Dear Friends, Fans and Family,
I set up Bassweight recordings 5 years ago as a vehicle to provide exposure for Kiwi bass music producers. Over that time I've worked with artists to release their music to the world. Along the way I've also been fortunate enough to release a bunch of my own singles and EP's on various labels.
About 2 years ago I felt that my craft was at the stage where I was ready to tackle a full-length album. Since then, I've poured untold hours into the music that will make up my debut artist album and I'm really excited about getting this music out to the world - however, I need your help!
I want my first album to be as good as it can possibly be and to reach as many pairs of ears as possible, but preparing tracks for release and distributing them globally is expensive. This year has also been a tough year for New Zealand politically, spiritually and financially. Everyone these days seems to feeling the effects of the recession and the New Zealand music industry is no exception. It is a tough time to be an artist in any medium - this is why I'm humbly asking for the financial support of my fans and friends to finish this project.
When you donate, as thanks, you will receive a copy of the album CD when its completed and your name in the credits (some of the donation rewards are bigger than others) Your support is greatly appreciated, I'm really excited about getting this music out there and hope you are too. Help set THE GHOST IN THE MACHINE free!
