Welcome!

I'm so excited to be making my debut album and it's sounding great - I really think you’re going to love it! 

This year has been an a great year for me musically. Particular highlights being performances at WOMAD and WOW and capping the year off with an album of great original songs.

Over the last few years I’ve amassed a catalogue of songs in a range of styles, each with their own unique story (I love a good story!) and I’ve decided it’s about time I shared some of these with you.

My album project

For a good while now I’ve had this idea forming in my head..... Think the wild west, saloon bar, tumbleweed town, saloon girls, gunslingers and gamblers. If you love catchy melodies and interesting characters then there is something for you in this album! 

But don’t take my word for it, you can listen and judge for yourself! The music on my pledge-me video is all me! ;-) (demos) If you like what you hear then I’d love for you to help me out and even be a part of this album!

I’ve already started in the studio and most of the basic tracks are down - now it's time to lay down the vocals and sprinkle some magic studio dust; violins, strings the slide guitar and maybe even YOUR tambourine or hand claps! We also need to create the visually alluring album artwork that will help tell the story and of course the supporting website and marketing material. I need your help to make all this important stuff happen.

 About me

So why pledge me to turn my long dreamt of album into a reality you may ask? Do I have what it takes to pull this off? Let me tell you a little bit about myself - I am a seasoned singer who’s been playing in a range of bands over at least 20 years and has appeared as a backing singer on numerous albums including, Dave Feehan Band, Julie Lamb band and as a lead singer on the Balkanistas debut album.

I’m a singing teacher / vocal coach by day and a singer by night. One day I’m belting out Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant song” and the next I’m crooning a jazz standard. Being a Virgo I’m a bit of a perfectionist and this makes me a perfect studio singer - I’ve been involved in many albums so making my own is a logical and long awaited move.

As you can imagine it’s going to cost a lot more than our target. We are aiming for a modest $3500. But you don’t need to stop there! With your kindness and support we can raise more and that would be awesome!
