About

MIT Business Students Setting The Bar At EXCELLENT...

Project 2014-10-16 17:41:18 +1300

We are Manukau Institute of Technology Business students that have created a Maori initiative project called Adorn Radiance that is using green growth principles.

This project is a part of our degree research that has lead to being an actual Small business called Hāpara Hana (Adorn Radiance).

We will be pitching the initiative on the 13th November 2014 at the MIT Otara Marae as a Presentation dinner to 19 guests hence the need for funding.

We are the first Maori business students to attempt something of this scale from MIT.

The Team members presenting on the night;

Amber Tupaea

I have a National Certificate in Small Business management, Security and will complete my Bachelor of Business Management degree by the end of 2014.

My view is you are as strong as the effort you put into caring for yourself, your nourishment, exercise and the environment you choose to surround yourself with. My long term commitment is to see Hapara Hana succeed as a eco friendly, sustainable business.

Margurette Taupage

I hold a NZ Diploma in Level 6 and currently studying to gain a Bachelors of Applied Management Level 7 in June 2015 with an Accounting major.

I intend to ensure the financial stability of Adorn Radiance by assisting with financial issues that may arise within the business. I also intend to promote Adorn Radiance and it's services through social media.

Providing financial and administration services to Adorn Radiance will enable me to enhance my skills and knowledge in the business industry.

A business with good environmental Management, effective waste management and sustainable product innovation can result in an improved financial performance.

Jay TeWhare

I am of Tainui descent and I hail from the King Country. I hold a NZ Diploma in Business and will complete a Bachelors of Applied Management in 2014.

I plan to continue studying in the future however at present I intend to promote and market Hapara Hana. This business collaboration is a good opportunity to extend the portfolio of my company “Ahumai Events”. Resource Integration is resource efficiency.

Paul Tupaea - Hoeta

I currently hold a  Diploma in Business Administration, and currently in the last semester of gaining a Bachelors of Business degree focusing in Operations Management and Human Resource Management.

We are in the early stages of operations with a knowhow, can do attitude. The capacity of Adorn Radiance is endless. I am looking forward to working with the Adorn Radiance Management team and other New Zealand-based companies who are on board. It's a great privilege and a joy working alongside Adorn Radiance at this exciting and challenging time.

The aim of the presentation is to demonstrate the capabilities of MIT business students and to propose a continued networking relationship with future MIT students of the Co-operative industry project the very paper that has brought us here.

We need to raise at least $300 to cover our expense mainly the food for the dinner.
