Hi. We are the New Zealand Puzzle Association Inc., a small and fairly new society which held the first New Zealand sudoku championship in March this year (won, by the way, by an eleven year old!). First up, we are offering you the chance to get something for nothing.  If you know the phrase (4-4-5-3-3) suggested by the clue “eye>” email us, [email protected], and we will put you in the draw to win a copy of the first issue of our quarterly “Championship Puzzles” magazine. We have 100 copies to give away.

We are seeking funds: to launch our magazine (initially a mix of sudoku and vaki puzzles); to join the World Puzzle Association; and to extend the range of puzzle competitions in New Zealand to include provincial and school championships. There is one intermediate school which has more than fifty students registered with us already.

If you donate twenty dollars we will send you a copy of the first issue of our magazine, “Championship Puzzles”.  This will contain 224 puzzles.

Please. It’s mostly harmless, and it might give kids something to do other than watch videos and stress their thumbs.
