Young Lyre 2015 Studio Recording

We are Young Lyre, a five piece indie/alternative band based in Auckland. We’ve been making tunes together for about four years now with our current lineup. We’ve released a couple of singles, opened for a few international acts, and released a 5 track EP, but we’ve pretty much locked ourselves in the practice room for the last year to work on some new material. Now we’ve got a bunch of quality songs (we think so anyway) ready to record…but we need some help to afford to do this thing! We’ve been selling instruments on TradeMe, digging deep into overdrafts, and eating cheap food, but we’ve realised that we’re still going to need a bit of extra support to make this thing happen. This is where you come in…
Our fans have been amazingly patient and supportive during this quiet season of ours, so first of all, thanks! We’ve put together a range of rewards you can get for pledging money to support this upcoming EP. We’ve already made some progress on our first single, We Go Faster, which will be due for release sometime soon. Some of the rewards will be given once the single or EP is finished, so please get your mates to get on board too and we can make it happen sooner!

Incredible news! We've reached our funding goal and then some!!
To everyone that has pledged toward this project that we are so passionate about, thank you. Thank you for helping the 5 of us continue to pursue our musical interest in this band. We are all truly humbled by the response and support and can't wait to share our music with you.

Just four days to go! Massive thanks to all the supporters so far! You guys are amazing. Watch this space as later tonight (including on our facebook/youtube) we'l be uploading an acoustic cover version of our upcoming single We Go Faster.
$801 so far with 10 days left!

We're super stoked with the progress since our last update! A further 14 pledges toward the final total with the current money pledged sitting at $801. Thanks to all those that have contributed thus far! You'll all be seeing more of us on stage soon with the new songs ready to go. In the event you're not able to come and see us, then helping us to crank through this campaign can be your way of hearing our music fast!
