Help Get A Talented Piper To Canada

 Hi my name is Brooke and I am 16 years old. I am currently attending high school where I am a year 12 student. I have been selected for the Royal New Zealand Youth Pipe Band which I consider a great honor and we are going to Canada/Disneyland in July however, I need help to make this possible. So I am asking for you to pledge a little towards this.

As I am from a single parent home it will be challenging for me and my mum to raise all the money necessary to make this possible. This is a great opportunity for me one that I have worked hard for over the last six years and intend on taking further than just this trip. One of the most exciting parts of this trip is that I will have the opportunity to attend piping hot summer drummer which is a summer school in silver star mountain. This school will provide me with the opportunity to learn from some of the best pipers in the world including Jack Lee which is a dream come true. I will gain knowledge that will benefit my piping and open doors for me. Furthermore, as a young band representing New Zealand we will be preforming in a competition in Vancouver at the Kamloop highland games and twice in Disneyland.  Personally this will help to build my self esteem, confidence and knowledge about piping in other parts of the world. When I return home I hope to continue moving forwards. With the knowledge and self esteem I will gain from this trip I wish to move up and join a grade 1 band and hopefully travel over to the worlds in Scotland. I have many goals I would like to achieve in this sport and being selected as apart of the youth band was one. I have achieved this goal and am now asking you to help me achieve my next which is to travel and compete with the New Zealand youth pipe band. Each goal leads to the next and I hope you will help me with my journey.

We still have to fundraise a total of $4,000 as we have fundraised some money through selling biscuits, busking and scratchie boards.
