Barnstoneworth FC's NEW Red-And-White Striped Shirts
Project 2014-04-26 17:01:27 +1200
Please help Barnstoneworth Anonymous FC fund our new red-and-white-striped shirts. They will be playing kit befitting the 2013 4th Division champions of the Waikato Sunday Soccer League!
Barnstoneworth started in 1982 as the football team-wing of Clan McGillicuddy. It takes its mythological roots from 'Golden Golden', an episode of Terry Jones' and Michael Palin's 'Ripping Yarns' (see video above), so is one of a number of Barnstoneworths playing around the world.
We are the team of Hamilton's arts and hospitality scenes, so we aim to be stylish, social and unstoppable!
We change our team sub-title most years, but for $500 you can have the sponsor-scale 'Reward' of making that sub-title your business, organisation or personal name for the next couple of seasons, and get it added to the new shirts! That's exposure to hundreds of Sunday soccer players who see the League's draw and encounter us on the field. (In the 90s we were Barnstoneworth Aphrodite and then Barnstoneworth Black Dog, with the title and graphic respectively on the shirts, after the kebab shop and craft store that paid for those two rounds of kit).
If this appeal is over-subscribed, we will use excess funds for new corner flags, banners and/or goal-nets.
