About

Pet-Ography - Donated Pet Paw-Traits For All

Project 2014-04-03 11:59:03 +1300

Our pets very quickly wiggle their way into our homes, our lives and our hearts.
A Pet Photography Session provides a lasting and unique memory of the love we share with those animals but I know, that for some, a Pet Photography Session is a luxury expense that is out of reach. I offer my services free of charge to Animal Rescue organisations and twice a year, I donate one or more pet photography sessions to a family who deserves, has earned or would benefit from a Pet Photography Session.
I hear of these people via nominations and I have already collected 10 nominations for the session I am donating this April.
More information on this is on my Giving Back page: http://tarasutherland.net/pet-photography-sessions/giving-back/

Gentleman Gus - who sadly passed over the Rainbow Bridge two days after these photographs were taken

Quite often their pets are terminally ill or are well past their prime. I would like to be able to travel if necessary, and as soon as the family is informed, in order to photograph these animals - rather than being restricted to sessions in and around the Waikato.  Travel on short notice from Hamilton is often in the realm of $200 each way. The remaining $350 will cover the cost of rewards (printing will be around $100) and the remaining amount will be donated to the SPCA and Paws 4 Life.

I want to raise $750.00 in the next month for the Autumn Session (well sessions, I am planning on donating two sessions) and then another $750 in September for the Spring sessions.

Milly - Lover of steak and carrots, best friend to Michelle

I ran something similar on givealittle earlier in the year for Milly and Michelle in Wellington (Milly has cancer) so I know for sure that there are lots of pet lovers in New Zealand who would love to be involved.
The previous project is here: http://www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/letsshootmilly

Really, I am looking for some lovely patrons.

And what happens if I don't reach my PledgeMe goal ... well in all honesty, one way or another, I will get there.  I am selling old photography equipment, stock photography and putting my own money in to this Project.  It is that important to me.

Thank you for taking a look through my Project. t x

Today we went FULLY FUNDED!

16/04/2014 at 8:29 PM

Today has been such an emotional day and it all started before 9am!

By 8:22am this morning, Paw-traits for All was fully funded.  And now we are over that line!

I can't think of enough ways to thank you all for being a part of this but I will do my best to also thank you in person and give you a hug.

This evening I chose three recipients for the Photography Sessions;

I am now going through the process of arranging time with all of them.  Thanks to your generosity I will be traveling to Wellington, Auckland and over the other side of Hamilton.

So close to 50%

10/04/2014 at 11:49 AM

We are so close to 50% that I can smell it.

Well okay, I can't smelll 50% but I can smell lemons.  Why lemons you ask ...

WashBar Dog Soap

My desk is covered in WashBar soap for dogs!

A big thank you to Liz who sent me 7 WashBar's for dogs to add to The Alaskan Malamute (the $100 pledge) gift basket.

In the event that I don't use all 7 giftbaskets, I will be giving these away to random pledges.  So do you want one??

Twenty percent - OH YEA!!

06/04/2014 at 10:26 AM

Two days in and 20 percent of my target raised.  I am a very very happy girl.  Thank you very very much for donating and following along.

This morning I have just listed the first of my older equipment auctions and I have a couple of things to giveaway this afternoon in exchange for donations.  We will see how that works out :)
