Hello.
This is Sam Smith and Robbie Ellis. Together, they are Augmented Fourth. Here, read about their show:
It’s a fact: there has never been a NZ musical comedy duo which has had major international success, toured all over the world, and had a spectacularly bitter breakup... until now… ahem.
This is the story of Augmented Fourth. Its rise from a school common room to the world’s biggest arenas seemed unstoppable, until the band split up in spectacular fashion. Reuniting for one last tour, will you be treated to the most thrilling concert of your lives, or a total meltdown?
Featuring the comedic and musical talents of Sam Smith and Robbie Ellis, Augmented Fourth promises drama, intrigue, musical genius, and more than a few puns.
You’ve seen them together in stand-up, sketch, Song Sale, musicals, Greek tragedy, improv, ska bands, barbershop quartets and bluegrass. Now see their debut feature show. Recommended for anybody who has ever listened to any music ever.
“Sam Smith is God’s favourite NZ comedian – and mine” – Michael Palin
“Genuinely hilarious plethora of talent” – Theatreview
“Outstanding” – Johnsonville Library"Ellis's... musical comedic timing and delivery is impeccable." - Theatreview
Part of the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival in cahoots with Old Mout Cider. For the full Festival line-up, special offers and the latest on all things comedy head to www.comedyfestival.co.nz
Wow! What an awesome show! Sure does sound like it's going to be amazing.
BUT WAIT.
In order for it to be super seriously uber amazing, we need headset mics. These guys are multi-talented multi-instrumentalists and this show is packed with multi-music-awesomeness. Headset mics will give this show the edge it needs to be super mega awesome foxy hot and not stink.
That, friends, is where you come in.
We need $1200 for two weeks of two mics during NZ International Comedy Festival and have a sweet array of rewards for anyone who helps us get there! Any extra funds will go towards the other expenses associated with the show (marketing, festival fees, paying our awesome producer Jen and Hair of the Dog Productions)
Watch the awesome video up top, and check out our sweet rewards over to the side - seriously, there are some great rewards. Postcards? What a joy! Tickets to the show? Even better. Singing telegram? PERSONALISED singing telegram? Mindblowingly amazing.
What are you waiting for? Get pledging and support this kickass musical comedy show!
