Circle Gallery And Studio

Circle is about opportunity, community and love of art.
The Plan: Located in Newmarket Square Station, we are creating a vibrant, active environment which offers emerging artists a platform to engage with their community. In return, the community has the opportunity to engage with art through making and witnessing the beginnings of a generation in art. To do this we have two shop spaces. One is our gallery and the other our studio. The gallery is where artists will share their skills and passion for art with the community. The studio is where members of the community can engage in their own art making through classes. Both spaces support and influence each other in creating an overall environment for the appreciation and love of art.
The team: We are a group of passionate artists who have recently finished our degrees at Elam school of fine arts. We have an opportunity through Circle to continue our passion for art. To connect and share with the community and to provide an opportunity for upcoming artists from all over to join us.
The Cost: We need some help to get started. The $4000 would help us realise our dreams to run a community focused art gallery and studio by covering the start up costs. Costs included are light installations in both spaces and material purchases such as white paint, a level, a hammer and so on. We have high hopes for the project and feel once we get it started it will go far.

'In The Shallows' is our first show and was a great opportunity to test out the idea of Circle. The evening went wonderfully, demonstrating the potential of the space and what can be achieved with support and help of others.
The evening helped us see what Circle will be.
