Project 2012-03-17 21:45:46 +1300
We are making a documentary following four athletes from a gym in Wellington who have been earned places at the World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
At this stage we have gathered interview footage and have followed them through their training regime to date. We also have a significant amount of historical footage from through the boys fight careers to date. At this point in the project we are looking for funding to get the coach and the film maker(myself) to the competition so that we can support the boys and keep following their stories.
But here's the rub:
The competition is on April 11th-14th. So we need to get everything together in time to fly out on April 9th. So the timeline is very, very protracted.
Thankfully, due to the small size of the project the costs are minimal.
At this stage we are looking for $5800 for return flights. A further $1000 in associated costs which include travel visas, travel taxes and storage systems for the film itself.
