Thank you so much for making it to my PledgeMe site but please do not Pledge here!
Unfortunately I have realised to late that the funding goal is not going to be reached within the time-frame. I should have stretched it out until the actual election. Therefore I have decided to dis-continue with the PledgeMe site.
I would still love you support, please email me at [email protected] and I will send you a bank account number to transfer money into.
Thanks again, the support has been overwhelming - but unfortunately not so timely!
I love the Wanaka area. It has been my home for seven years. I am an active member of the Albert Town Community Association, Wanaka Residents Association Committees, and Local Food Wanaka.
In order to further contribute to Wanaka's unique future to the best of my abilities, I am running for election. I am standing as a council candidate in the Wanaka Ward for the Queenstown Lakes District Council.
But I need your HELP. I need the help of Pledgers to fund the costs of the printing flyers, badges and billboards, and to buy page space in the local newspapers. The election voting starts Friday 20th of September and I have from now until then to spread my message – that I stand for keeping a long-term view, building strong inclusive communities and embracing Wanaka’s uniqueness.
My team consists of friends, family and supporters gifting their time to help me create my campaign and campaign materials. A wider team of over 100 volunteers will help distribute the flyers, badges and billboards through mail drops, door knocking and events postings. With your pledge and the support of the team I will reach voters and we will succeed.
Strong inclusive communities produce valuable jobs, create social wellbeing and healthy environments. I engage with a range of people in the Wanaka region and work hard to understand specific needs.
As a young woman standing for Council I will represent our diverse community. I will use my strong commitment, fresh insight and broad skills in strategic planning to drive Council decisions that embrace the uniqueness of this region and focus on the long-term view.
Through degrees in law, ecology, a Masters in Strategic Sustainable Development, a PhD in resource accounting and experience managing the New Zealand Footprint Project I know good planning can only be achieved through open collaborative processes.
