I am a 20 year old, second year nursing student at WINTEC, and am looking to embark on a course related adventure. My goal is to go to NEPAL and volunteer in Kathmandu hospital, in my summer holidays (Dec/Jan). Although it will be just me going over I hope that my story compels others to embark on this sort of venture, to help make the world a better place. The money I raise will go towards my flights and placement costs.
In the past I have done a lot of volunteer work. I enjoy the nature of volunteer work, as I find it rewarding and feel like it is going to help me become the best possible nurse that I can, showing me aspects of the world that I might not necessarily ever of seen, and use the experiences to benefit not only me, but also the people that I will care for in the career as a nurse.
