The EGGs Factor Concert
Project 2013-06-19 02:10:00 +1200
This is a concert that is going to be held at St. Margaret's College on the 20th September 2013. It is one event of many around to world to raise money for Educating Girls Gloabally (EGG).
EGG is a global charity drive, initiated by St. Margaret's students, which is comprised of 34 schools from over 7 countries around the world, including the USA, UK, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Africa. Our goal is to raise as much money for girls' education as we can. Check out our website here: http://educategirlsglobally.weebly.com
This concert is going to be a huge fundraiser for EGG. We are hoping to have some girls from school performing, some well known bands/musicians and a guest speaker. We are thinking as big as Ellen and Oprah in terms of guests to invite, because the worst they will say is no, and who knows, they may just say YES!
We are hoping to raise some money to fund our concert so that it can be a really successful evening. Our current costs include flights/accommodation for guest performers, sound/lighting and advertising.
We really would appreciate any donation - both large and small - because it all adds up! Many of the girls that we are fundraising for can only ever dream of an education. It is our job, as EGG, to turn their dream into a reality.
Please help us help others to live their dream. Our motto is think global, act local. Educate one girl and she can educate ten more.
