My name is Jaymee Graham and I am 18 years old.
I have been playing waterpolo since I was 9 and previous to that flippaball here in Wellington. I started out playing for my school and having fun. My school team was very strong and we won many local competitions, it was a mixed team, I was the youngest. Since then I have played for my club, Harbour City, in different grades, starting with Under 14 and my school, St Catherine’s, when I attended, I finished last year (2012). I was playing either centre back or centre forward for both school and club teams.
When I started college I played in both the junior and senior teams, playing in local and national tournaments and leagues.
I was asked to trial for the under 15 national girls waterpolo team when I was 14 (2010) and we competed in Pan-Pacs in the under 16 grade, I also played in Pan-Pacs for my club in both under 14 and under 16 at this tournament. That year we had a test series against Queensland and New South Wales and won both test series. I was also asked to play for the New Zealand Schoolgirls Invitational team, playing against South Africa, Australia and New Zealand Schoolgirls.
In 2011 I was in the New Zealand U17 team. We travelled to Brisbane, Australia and competed in a tournament there, we came 3rd.
I played for the U18 New Zealand team that travelled to Adelaide, Australia, for the U20 state championship in 2012. I also travelled to Sydney, Australia, that year with the U19 New Zealand team for a test series against Australia.
I also played for New Zealand in the Junior World Champs in Perth, Australia, in December 2012.
As I have said previously I play for Harbour City, a club here in Wellington. I started playing for them in 2009, where we went to Christchurch for the U14 nationals and came 3rd. In 2010 we again travelled to Christchurch where we competed in the U16 nationals where we didn't do as well, we came 5th.
I believe I am talented but I come from a financially challenged solo parent family, my mum is helping as much as she can but we need help from others.
I am dedicated and have put many hours into training which has helped me get better and stronger. I have recently increased my training hours to help my teams (both club and New Zealand) get a good result in my upcoming tournaments. My club has entered an under 19 tournament that is just before the Youth World Champs in Athens in August.
My family and I have raised a lot of money but needs some help with the last few thousand!
I am very focused and dedicated to the sport of waterpolo, I have played since I was 7. I have received a 'Most Outstanding Player' award when I was 16 for an under 18 national tournament, as well as a 'Most Valuable Player' award in the under 16 national tournament the same year.
Please help me! I am working hard to achieve my goal of going to the tournament in Volos, Greece. Any help is welcomed and appreciated!

Only about 4 more weeks until my trip, am getting nervous and excited at the same time.
Have had a setback and can't actually get in the pool for another week, but have been running and going to the gym to help :(
