The Williams family is taking a break. After fifteen years of working with teenagers we are taking a break. We (the whole family) are off to Nantes (in France) for two months (to work alongside a local Church there and to rest and reflect on what we've done and what is next.) Then we will head to the UK for 3 weeks to catch up with family and friends. As part of our current employment we have the opportunity to take a sabbatical. The last four years in Christchurch have been hard work (we've loved it, but we're tired!!) and now is the perfect time to pause and think about where to from here.

Our Blog is Up.....

We (Simon) have created a blog to keep everyone up to date on what we are getting up to as we plan to leave for Nantes, and what we get up to when we are there.
The girls aren't too keen on the family portrait but it's the only decent photo of all of us! So pop over to: samreurope.wordpress.com Not too much going on just yet but it will be the place to go to keep up with all our adventures!

Hey I reckon this is totally do-able...is that a word? Anyway after 15 years and having the privilege of being involved in countless young people and their families lives, I thought I would give you all an opportunity to help us out a little or a lot!!
We have purchased the flights ($10K is a scary online transaction!!) and are searching for a place to call home in Nantes, France for the two months we will be there. We (I mean Annette) has done the budget and it's going to be tight. We think we have most things covered.Annette is doing extra teaching and the phrase "WE can't buy that we are going to Nantes is part of our everyday vocablulary! Speaking of vocab... we are all trying to upskill our French!
I am passionate about the idea of crowd-funding and thought this would be a great way of letting people who love us or have been loved by us help us out. The goal is $1500 but if you want to bless us beyond that, that would be awesome!!
